The conservation and propagation of Orchids is one of the most important approaches of the garden mission. These can be found in the trees all over the grounds and in the "Holstein House of Orchids and Vanilla".
Other notable collections include oaks, bromeliads, agaves and wild palms. The Botanical Gardens of Vallarta participates actively in the environmental public education through visits and classes.
The grounds have numerous walking trails both trough the preserved wilderness forest and the display gardens.
